Reception Applications for 2022/23

Admissions for places in September 2022 are now open.  You can read our prospectus here and our admissions policy for 2022 can be found here.  The school is open to anyone and is non-selective. Answers to some commonly asked admissions questions can be found here.

As the school is based in Hammersmith, we will be admitting children according to their proximity to two separate geographical points rather than just one.

The first will be the location of the school which is on Banim Street in Hammersmith, the second will be the Earl's Court tube station.

The most efficient way to apply is via the e-admissions portal here. You don't have to be a resident of Hammersmith and Fulham to apply. If you are applying for a place under the Pupil Premium category, please also complete the following supplementary form and send to admissions@wlfs-primary.org or post to the school by 15th January 2022.

In an earlier version of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham brochure for parents of children applying for places at the borough's primary schools, it said all pupils who joined this school before 1st September 2017 would be granted priority when applying to the West London Free School Secondary. In fact, the Secondary will only guarantee priority to applicants who joined the primary school who are due to start secondary school in 2021 and 2022. The Knowledge Schools Trust will make a decision in due course about whether to extend this priority to pupils in all year groups.

Pupil Premium

The school has set aside 20% of places in Reception in 2021-22 for children eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant.  Eligibility will be determined if you are in receipt of any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income- based Job Seekers allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal

If you think you fall in to this category, please fill out this form and send to admissions@wlfs-primary.org or post to the school by 15th January 2021. This is in addition to applying in the normal way, not instead of.
