Thursday 24 March 2022 The Ecology Centre Visit The Reception children have been learing about food and farming as part of the Primary Knowledge Curriculum. Over the past two weeks the classes visited The Ecology Centre in Holland Park. The children had a wonderful time, observing frogspawn in the pond, looking for different colours in nature and hunting for minibeasts in the woods. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip and gained a vast amount of knowledge on growing and changing.

Wednesday 9 March 2022 Westminster Abbey Visit Year 2 visited Westminster Abbey last week. The children enjoyed learning about the beautiful building and participated in a workshop on the Tudors, linking to this term’s history unit. We are very proud of how the children represented the school!

Tuesday 8 March 2022 National Gallery's Take One Picture Exhibition We are very excited to have a piece of art, made by the whole of Year 6, selected to appear in the National Gallery's Take One Picture exhibition, which will take place in the summer. The collage was based on a painting by Orazio Gentileschi called "Finding Moses". Their collage grew out of a discussion about how the painting raised questions about division, persecution and negotiation. They created a piece of art about unity. It is called "World of Caring Hands".More details to follow about how you can visit the exhibition!

Monday 24 January 2022 Jewish Museum London Visit Year 6 had the opportunity to visit the Jewish Museum London and hear from Bob Kirk, who arrived in Britain via the Kindertransport from Nazi Germany in 1939, just before WW2. The pupils also learnt about different Jewish festivals and history through objects in the museum. Year 6 are currently learning about the rise of Hitler and WW2 as part of the Primary Knowledge Curriculum.

Friday 23 July 2021 Virtual Book Launch On Wednesday, 16 July, Year 2 students were fortunate enough to participate in a virtual book launch for Pizazz vs Perfecto. This is the third book in the series for 7+ readers from author and illustrator, Sophy Henn.
